FUND, Compass For Affordable Housing
I designed, launched, and currently manage the FUND Program, a rental assistance initiative that helps households overcome temporary financial hardships and avoid eviction.
Participants work with a FUND Coordinator to create a budget and develop a six-month repayment plan for past-due rent, beginning with a 10% down payment and ultimately repaying about 25% of their arrears. Upon completion, FUND provides matching funds to eliminate the remaining balance. During the program, participants also complete a financial literacy course, building the knowledge and confidence to improve their financial future. This shared approach to rental assistance empowers the individual while also supporting them in their time of need.
